Finally added what I hope is a comprehensive discography to the site. Many thanks to all that helped put this together, but particularly to Mark Lascelles and Andy Rigg.

Vera Buzz fanzine – preview of 12/3/87 gig

Vera Buzz appears to have been the official fanzine of the venue where Spacemen 3 played on 12 March 1987. This issue has a preview of the gig. The text is partly adapted from the Spacemen 3 interview in the Northampton Mercury and Herald, which I presume had been sent out as part of the …

Live photo – ULU, 20 May 1988

Always an absolute pleasure to find a live photo that hasn’t done the rounds before. This is from the gig at ULU on 20 May 1988, Pete Bain’s last gig. Shame that the angle isn’t better, but that’s a minor quibble. Courtesy of Simon Young – thanks Simon!

Creation Stories trailer

The trailer for the forthcoming biopic of Alan McGee, Creation Stories, has just appeared on YouTube. And towards the end, McGee is seen wearing an iconic T-shirt. Very authentic looking, if it’s not an original, although I don’t think I’ve seen a long sleeve version before. McGee was a big fan of Spacemen 3, and …

Ticket for 20/5/88 ULU gig

It doesn’t mention Spacemen 3 by name unfortunately, but it’s still nice to be able to add the ticket for the 20 May 1988 ULU gig to its page. This was Pete Bain’s last gig, and although Rosco had left a little while before, he made a return here while the band were still without …

Rock Delux – translation added

I forgot to add a translation for this article when I first posted it, so I’ve added it now. As with most of the translations, it’s been done via Google Translate, which tries its best but the results could clearly be improved on. If there are any native speakers with time on their hands, I’d …

New press article – Cut, late 1987

No idea when exactly this short interview was published, but it’s between the release of The Perfect Prescription and the January/February 1988 European tour, so some time in late 1987.
