This advert for the Duchess Of York was printed in the 14 October 1988 issue of Leeds Student Independent Newspaper. There is no known poster or recording, and Brian David Stevens on the Spacemen 3 Appreciation Group (UK) remembers going to the Duchess for a Spacemen 3 gig that was cancelled on the night. I think it is likely to be this one, considering that the same thing happened to a gig advertised for the day after this, and that Spacemen 3 played this venue not long after this date, on 28 February 1989 – it would be odd to play there again so quickly.
