Just got hold of this bundle of poster zines from Sonic Cathedral, one of which includes at short joint interview with Pete Kember and Dean Wareham about the final days of Spacemen 3. Lots of other stuff as well, and only £6 in the UK. You can get them from here.

Ticket for 20/5/88 ULU gig
It doesn’t mention Spacemen 3 by name unfortunately, but it’s still nice to be able to add the ticket for the 20 May 1988 ULU gig to its page. This was Pete Bain’s last gig, and although Rosco had left a little while before, he made a return here while the band were still without …
Rock Delux – translation added
I forgot to add a translation for this article when I first posted it, so I’ve added it now. As with most of the translations, it’s been done via Google Translate, which tries its best but the results could clearly be improved on. If there are any native speakers with time on their hands, I’d …
New press article – Cut, late 1987
No idea when exactly this short interview was published, but it’s between the release of The Perfect Prescription and the January/February 1988 European tour, so some time in late 1987.
New scans for old articles
I’ve replaced the scans of some old Sounds interviews with better copies from the originals. It should now be easier to read the pieces from 18 July 1987, 3 December 1988 and 9 February 1991.
Poster for 13 June 1989 Leicester Uni gig
It’s only a small image taken from an old eBay listing, but Andy Black has kindly donated a poster for this gig.

Duchess Of York gig (that didn’t happen)
Today started with me noticing that Ade Matthews had posted a few interesting clippings from the Leeds Student Independent Newspaper, including a review of the Oblivious Participant bootleg CD compilation of the first two Spacemen 3 singles, on the Spacemen 3 Appreciation Society Facebook group. All the bits that Ade was posting were from the …
1986 ZigZag interview posted
I’ve posted the brief ZigZag interview from January 1986, the earliest printed piece of Spacemen 3 coverage that I know about.
The Quietus – Recurring 30 Years On
Interesting lookback at Recurring 30 years on, posted this morning on The Quietus.
