2 August 1986 – The Enterprise Pub, Chalk Farm, London

Pete Kember – Jason Pierce – Pete Bain – Sterling Roswell

Rollercoaster/Things’ll Never Be The Same/O.D. Catastrophe/Mary Anne/Hey Man

The video recording of this gig – the earliest live Spacemen 3 footage we currently know about, complete with light show – is on YouTube. Until this surfaced, it was thought that the 19 August 1986 gig at the Barrel Organ was Rosco’s first, but it was clearly before this (or possibly even this one).

  1. I was at this. The band were on very early and as stated, the room wasn’t very well attended. Jon Beast allowed them to return to the stage for one song at the end of the evening – at this point there were a lot more people there, including reviewers who were on the list but had not arrived in time for the whole set. The other bands that night were pretty dull and it was a hot summers evening. I wore my green T – Shirt with a hole just below the collar. KGx
