A messy evening and still the only time I’ve been inside The Hackney Empire. Bambi Slam were on the bill as well as Gaye Bikers on Acid…our feet were tapping furiously as we sat in the stalls not really knowing what day it was ( A Friday – definitely a Friday). Went back to Cricklewood after the gig for a few games of Risk (sound-tracked by some early Big Black/ Sonic Youth cassettes) and at about 3am switched the TV on and watched (for about 3 minutes) The Herald of Free Enterprise sink. I wore my red jumper – KGx
