This date is often given for the 15 November 1988 Drummonds gig, but that is an error – this was the only Spacemen gig played on this night.
Mark Refoy came to this gig, and was invited by Pete to join the band, although this wouldn’t happen until the forthcoming UK tour had been completed.
In his memoir “Playing the Bass with Three Left Hands”, Will Carruthers said he forgot to switch his bass amp on for this gig. The band were meant to play for two sets but were asked by the venue to leave after one.
