My friend and I saw Spacemen 3 at the Bristol Bierkeller in 1989-I remember people getting on the small stage at the end. We saw dozens of indie bands in the late ‘80’s early’90’s from the Pixies to Nirvana but this was probably the coolest gig I have ever been to. No one seemed to know them and I felt a bit honoured to be there. There was just something about them… unfortunately they weren’t selling T shirts at this gig but we got some when we saw their last gig at the Reading Festival. I still listen to them as much as anything else.
