I was there! I was a student working in London for the summer. I was barely familiar with the band before the gig but I went with a friend and was stunned by how good they were. I also remember Eat being an impressive support, with Summer in the City working well because it was a hot summer in the city, but the headliners dominated, opening new vistas in music for me.
